We are finally in!

We finally made it into our new house! It has been a little stressful moving this time from the dumb apartment. My entire family has been gone, plus Heath is prego, so we had to manage packing up the apartment all by ourselves. Boo hoo hoo.... haha. It really wasn't that bad, but unpacking is what I have a hard time doing and lots of people have helped with that. Branden's parents have been so amazingly helpful. They even helped us paint our new bedroom! And we had a minor house trama already, which Tom rushed to help us with.

On sunday I went to church and Branden had gone to ellensburg with his dad to drop off the blue couch and bring his stuff all back. When I got home at about 4 his dad was on the ladder in our new dining room with his arm through a huge hole in the ceiling! Branden had come home and laid on the couch and noticed a bubble and a wet line down the ceiling, he poked through the whole a water came right through. He, of course, called his dad in a panic sounding like the whole ceiling was falling. The hole is still there.... we are letting it dry out and then figuring how to reseal the shower drain. GOSH- we just moved in! Branden was in more of a tissy than me though. He is pretty stressed that this would happen right away. He walks around the house on guard saying "this house is falling apart." Then, last night I attempted to start the washing machine, which is brand new. We unwrapped it and everything, so it should work perfectly fine. I filled the water a little and drained it, ran downstairs to see if it was leaking!.....nothing..... yes! Good! But, then it started making some funny noises. Oh no. I turned it off and kept cleaning because people we coming to visit. However, when Branden got home, of course I told him what I did and he had to run upstairs to test it out himself. This is the time the relief society president and Frannie M. show up to visit me! I'm a little stressed and flustered, but I acted like I was ok. We sit and talk, and the whole time the washer sounds like it is going to fall through the ceiling. There faces were pretty funning! They asked if I was going to go see what was happening? haha....they were stressed too. I went upstairs and in my nice and quiet tone, said "just turn it off! please." :) Branden says" I did, I did!" Anyways, after they left and Branden is upstairs settling down, I went up and took a look. It was making the weirdest noises. Hard to even discribe. But, for some reason I got down on the floor and was looking all around the washer. There was this bright yellow warning handle on the very bottom of the side of the washer. I thought it was just a normal warning type label- like don't let your kids play with this...blah...blah... but I read it closely for who knows what reason? and it says" REMOVE THIS SHIPPING SAFETY BAR BEFORE USING THE WASHER. USING THE WASHER WITH THIS IN WILL DAMAGE IT. ahhhhh... hahahha. I called Branden to show him, and start pulling out this long steel bar the length of the bottom of the whole thing! He read the label thing and laughed. I said, this house just needs a good woman. :) I'm so glad we found that stupid thing. Branden was soooo mad, he was trying to find the owner's number to yell at them, yelling around the whole house- this house sucks, it's falling apart! Hahahaha. We laughed for the rest of the night. He had called his dad too- to say, Guess what else is broken. We did a load of laundry after the metal bar insident and it is AMAZING! It is so quiet and such a nice washer. Branden even said, this washer is awesome after he had taken clothes out. hahaha So, that is our first funny house story, probably many more to come.
