Baked Potatoes and Milkshakes don't mix- 26 wks Prego

I'm so excited Sunday is here and this week is over! Gosh, it was tough... I don't know why, but everyday I was pretty miserable. Monday, I had a dentist appt. for a routine cleaning. Everything went fine, but the lady really really dug around and poked my gums. Anyways, I ate a baked potato and milkshake after which really did not sit in my stomach well. It felt like bricks were sitting in my stomach for days. Then, on Tues. my jaw and back teeth started killing me! I had to funtion on Tylenol and ice packs for 3 days. My mom got back on friday and was sad I felt so crappy- she said I probably got an infection in my gums and jaw when she cleaned them. They still ache, but I don't have to take tylenol or anything and I've been rinsing with salt water, yuck. I think it has helped though. On top of my mouth/stomach issues this week, I have had the WORST heartburn EVER! Felt like I couldn't breath and was going to barf up acid every night! and even during the days. I had to keep my diet pretty bland and that still wasn't helping. After being on Tylenol, trying to survive with Tums, and not pooping- I was in pretty bad shape by wed. I finally remembered that my doctor had mentioned I could get some Pepcid tablets to help with the heartburn. I went and picked some up on wed. and my teeth had started feeling a little better. I took one that night before bed and had the best night sleep ever! The kind were you wake up and hadn't moved. I didn't even get up to pee. I did wake up with a headache and my jaw was hurting again, but as long as I get some sleep- i can handle quite a lot. :) Now, I just needed more fiber and more ice for my jaw.

I have felt tons better yesterday and today, so hopefully this week I'll feel ok. But for now, I will not be mixing milkshakes and baked potatoes for a long time! I can't wait to eat and poop normal in a few months. haha....

On a great note, my mom and Heath helped me get the new desk set up in our office room- we are on our way to organizing the house for the baby! I'm excited. Branden got rid of the big desk and the huge TV out for us and then we emptied the room to start over. It's been fun organizing it a little each day. I think it's going to turn out cute, then I can work on the nursery. We really don't have a lot to do for that room though. Biggest thing on the needs list right now: a comfy rocking chair for the baby's room. I know lots of time is going to be spent in it! So, it is a must. :)

By the way, my last doctor's appt. went great and quick. She said my stomach is measuring at 27 weeks- when I was 24, so he's still ahead on growing. His heartbeat was great, and we just talked about heartburn issues and pelvic aches. :) My glucose test is the next appt... ugg. Ta Ta for now.

Hey Heids, I'm sorry your so sick. I hate to tell you this, but it will probably get much worse before it gets better. The end was the hardest for me. :( Pregnancy just sucks, but the end result is well worth it and you will forget about all the crapiness of not having your own body. Only a few more months and at least its not too hot our for you. I remember being huge in the summer and it was really hot and I was miserable!! Anyways, I love ya! Let me know what I can do to help.
