Nine Pounder!

A really good thing: Baby TJ is NINE pounds! YES! That brings a very deep refreshing breath of air to our little household. We knew he was gaining weight, but it was good to see that number on the official dr. scale. And that means TEN pounds is close!- we are throwing a TEN pound party, probably sooner than we thought!
Here is our little chunk man...:

I caught a cute little smile on our grumpy little guy.... usually you can find a scowl on his face, I think it is quite funny though. :)

Tanner is SIX weeks old! Wow, everyday just sail's by. When I go to tuck him in to bed and lay down myself- I think, gosh! where did that day go? it's going fast....

A really hard thing: BREASTFEEDING. We got a thrush/yeast attack of my breast and holy smokes....hardest woman thing I've ever had to endure. Monthly menstral cramps-nothin, take some advil...Yearly Pap smear-nothin....I've even had two breast biopsies-nothin! Breastfeeding has got them all beat. :) It might have something to do with all the hormones/sleep deprivation too, but I admire any woman who has endured this. Just when things started getting tolerable (about 3rd week) Tanner got THRUSH- and so I got a yeast infection in my breasts. HANG ON FOR WORST PAIN EVER. I felt like calling some drug dealer up at 3 in the morning to go pick up some heroin or something. haha- good thing I don't know any drug dealers. But, I will take notes for next baby: stock up on pain killers BEFORE you leave the hospital!

We survived though and this week we are doing awesome! We finally found a formula that doesn't upset tanner's tummy too much and I can still pump to feed him about 1/2 breastmilk and 1/2 formula. Sometimes he'll even breastfeed again for a little bit, but he gets pretty frustrated when I don't have a bottle sometimes too! He's my cute little grumpy/touchy baby. We love him for it though......
