This is how we find Tanner sleeping- loves his hands up on his face like his mommy...
Tanner turned 1 month old last saturday! YEAH!! I have been horrible about posting all the things I've wanted to, but at least I finally get around to it.... :) We are slowly getting use to having this little guy around. Waking up every 4 hours in the night has finally seemed a little easier this week. Or maybe that's because breastfeeding is finally not so painful. We got a stupid yeast infection that was quite painful....but we are on the up side!
The past couple of days I have had so many fun times with this baby. I looked down at him one day and thought- I am his MOTHER. That is sooo crazy. I am his MOTHER for the rest of his life. I have wanted and been so excited to have a baby, but I can't really describe how grateful I feel to be someone's MOMMY. That is a lot of responsibility and joy all at the same time. I just want to be a good MOMMY. This little guy is already so precious. Our life is full of many precious moments lately. Eternal moments.. I am just trying to be slow and enjoy them everyday.
Branden redid our kitchen last week! We got some beautiful granite coutertops and a new sink. (the sink is my FAVORITE). We'll have to plan a party soon for everyone to see. I actually walk in the kitchen today because I wanted to do dishes! and it was a good experience, not an endless frustrating one. I hated our old sink. AND you can fit our garbage can under the sink cupboard now! I love it. I am so grateful for little conviences like that. My husband has been working his butt off on the kitchen and keeping our house in order this last month- and on no sleep! He is amazing, and makes me feel lazy most days....but now I look at little Tanner and think- we're raising a baby now. No more being LAZY! They make it so you can't. :) 
Watching his first TEXAS LONGHORNS game with his daddy. Branden made sure his outfit was all washed and ready for the big day!

He's such a sweetie. You'll be such a great mom, Heidi. Your laid back attitude is such a blessing, I think it's awesome that you're taking the time to relish these deliciously exhausting days with a new baby. Precious!
they definitely grow WAY TOO FAST. i bet rowan is twice the size of tanner though - he's almost 13 lbs - gulp!
if you're getting 4 hr blocks of sleep at night then you're doing fabulous! love ya heidi. you're such a cute mom.
